Hi, I have seen the following thread: that describes the methods that show how to get the O365 account to work with Focused Inbox in O365. I have a similar problem in that I can get Focused Inbox to work with my O365 account on Outlook 2016 on Windows 7, OWA and also on my Gmail account on Outlook 2016 for Mac.
However, my O365 account on the same profile as the Gmail account doesn't show the Focued Inbox option. I have followed the instructions to hide the Folders on the Computer and it didn't make a difference. Eventually I created a new profile and added the same O365 account to that profile and the Focused Inbox was automatically available. The problem I have with this is that my main profile that contains the O365 account has synced over 9GB of mail in the folders and I would dearly like to retain this account as data comes at a premium here in South Africa and it would be very costly for me to resync the entire 9GB on the other profile.
Is anyone able to help me debug my main profile and get the Focused email to work? Thanks in advance, Victor. Hi Victor, The issue is that the focused inbox option misses from the Organize tag for the Office 365 account in Outlook for Mac.
Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding. First, please make it sure the Office 365 account is added by Exchange protocol. To check the account type, please go to Tools> Accounts. Meanwhile, please go to Help> check for Updates.> check whether there is new version available to Outlook. If the issue persists, it is recommended that you contact Outlook for mac experts by clicking on feature on the Help menu where is a dedicated support channel for Outlook for mac issues.
Regards, Hans. Hi Nortech, Please do not remove the account, then go to Tool>Accounts, click the + button to add the account.
Just follow the steps to add the account is ok. If the account is still added as Microsoft Account, but not Exchange, please follow these steps to add the account manually: 1. Fill in the address 2. Click 'Choose the Provider' 3.
Choose 'Office 365' to add the account. After adding the account successfully, you may remove the account which is added as Microsoft Account type. Regards, Hans.
