The Application “antivirus For Mac” Can’t Be Opened.

Nov 12, 2015  Some Mac users have discovered they are unable to open some applications downloaded from the Mac App Store. When attempting to open an impacted app in OS X, a message stating “Name.app is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete Name.app and download it again from the App Store.” Another variation. You shouldn't use chmod unless you have a good understanding of both file modes and ACLs, and more important, of what exactly the problem is, so you can fix it. This innocuous tool is well capable of recursively ruining your whole filesystem (and may even keep your system from booting).

Wow reading these forums seems like Apple kinda blew this 2.0 release. One problem I am having that I can't find yet.about 3/4 of my apps starting today say 'The application XXXX cannot be opened.' I thought maybe it was ones I bought via the iPhone-based App Store vs. Ones bought through iTunes. They were all working yesterday and today I did shut down and restart the phone (the 2.0 software is really slow and I was hoping a reboot might help). Also now in iTunes some of my Apps show up as icons on the Apps screen but the whole list shows up in the Apps to sync list on the Iphone tabs in iTunes. Next step for me is to uninstall all Apps and reinstall.

After restarting, your Mac-formatted drive should show up under This PC. This method only gives Connect your Mac-formatted drive to your Windows system, open HFSExplorer, and click File I cannot get HFS Explorer to find my HFS+ formatted drive - containing a Time Machine backup of my. Since I also have a Windows (Dell) PC running XP Pro, I was Unfortunately it's hard to have your cake and eat it when it comes to PC plus Mac drives. Ideal for the Mac is when you can use a utility to clone* (make a 100% bootable backup copy) to an external drive. Backup drives for mac and windows pcs download. Therfore, you can connect Backup Plus Desktop to a Windows PC without formatting the hard drive. Windows users can read and write to HFS+ (journaled) hard drives by installing the Paragon driver for Mac. ExFAT: generally compatible with Mac and Windows. ExFAT is not a journaled file. Not just Windows drivers, it can also take a backup of third-party drivers as well. Later, you can simply restore them to your PC without Resorting to Windows driver backup software is indeed able to simplify and accelerate the backup task. But in case you do.

Re-booting my phone didn't work. I was going to reinstall the applications, but I will lose all my data (To Do and Tasks lists) when I do. This is TOTALLY unacceptable.

Electronic devices should backup your data. When I sync, it often seem to take 2-3 minutes or more, backing up my phone. Fine, the data has been backed up. But how do I get to it, so that I don't lose this valuable data? I never liked having my data on a phone, and not being able to access it on the computer.

The

Partly because devices crash, and partly because the iPhone interface (although great for its size) makes very tedious to enter moderate amounts of data. I've now had two different TO DO lists destroy my data. I'm getting really sick of this. Why are so many Applications crashing? I had the same Problem. Restarting the iPod Touch didn't help, I didn't want to lose any saved application data either.

My solution: 1) turn off the device 2) go to itunes, in the menu to store -> authorize computer 3) enter your apple ID to authorize the machine again 4) turn on the device 5) let it sync (I aborted the lengthy backup with the X on the right side) all my apps are working again 🙂 I am 100% sure the computer was authorized before, but hey, it worked for me, maybe it does for you. I took part of the advice from the Apple Support pages, but rather than re-download the app, I just removed it from the iPhone as per below, then sync'd it to the desktop. To remove an App Store application from your device: Touch and hold any application icon on the Home screen until the icons start to wiggle. Tap the 'x' in the corner of the application you want to delete. Tap Delete to remove the application and all of its data from your iPhone or iPod touch.

Press the Home button to save your arrangement. And then back on iTunes, I sync'ed the iPhone and then went into the Applications tab for iPhone. There, I could see that Brain Challenge was unticked, so I ticked it and then did another sync. ITunes then reported it was installing Brain Challenge and then it was working ok. Is there really no viable solution to this problem yet?

I have the exact same problem: Updated my iPhone to 2.1 and - boom - 12 apps aren't working anymore (The application 'xxxxx' cannot be opened). Since the update to 2.1, about 6 of those 12 apps have been updated from their developers. These apps are running again since I updated them on the iPhone. But the remaining 6 apps are still not usable. I stepped through all solutions on this thread, including the Apple solutions to de- and re-authorise my Computer in iTunes. The only step I didn't do is, kill the app on the iPhone and re-sync it from iTunes BECAUSE this kills all data of this app.

I don't want to lose the data as there is no way to reload it from the existent backup. Hey Apple, give us an easy and working solution to use our apps without trashing data!
